Industrial Plastics Ltd/Iplex Plastics Industries

Produced by Industrial Plastics Ltd. from 1939-1952 in Adelaide, after which the company was renamed Iplex Plastic Industries. In 1953-4 the company made 10,000 ‘illuminated plastic crowns’, as well as fleur-de-lys, flags and bunting for the Royal tour. The company also made PVC pipes from the 1950s onwards. In 1982 it became Hardie Iplex.

The canister product line maintained the basic design and colours from 1949-1954.

Ivory with green, blue or red lids, mottled green, mottled cream, blue.
