Australian Moulding Corporation Pty Ltd / Moulded Products (Australasia) Ltd

Formed in 1927 in North Melbourne by John W. Derham as the Australian Mouding Corporation, the company merged in 1932 with Moulded Products, a gramophone record manufacturer.

Daily Commercial News and Shipping List (Sydney), 1st October 1927 p.5 Derham was manager of this firm by 1930, if not earlier.

They were responsible for Saxon, Harlequin, and Duperite ware. Dunlop Perdiau gained a controlling interest in this firm between the years of 1934-6. They became the largest producer of moulded plastic products in Australia.

Many of their product lines can be seen in the advertisement below. A new factory was built in Mentone in 1944 that operated until 2006. In 1966 the company was renamed Nylex Pty. Ltd.
